Our Culture

Being Passionate and Determined

DAC values passion, determination, consistency and perseverance.

We have passion and desire because we believe in what we are doing and where we are going. We don’t believe in the statement ‘Can’t be done’. Our spirit and determination is too strong to let negative outcomes get into the company.

Positive and optimistic outlook are contagious so we keep this attitude about everything we do because we realise that this inspires others to have the same attitude.

This is a great experience and exciting to know that who you work with has a tremendous impact on a larger vision, and can see the positive outcomes each day as the company moves forwards.

Team and Family Spirit

We want to create an environment that is friendly, warm and exciting.  We encourage diversity in ideas, opinions and points of views.

Leaders are those who lead by positive example and are both team followers as well as team leaders.  We believe that in general, the best decisions are made from the people on the ground.  They have the knowledge of everyday problems and everyday positives that can make a difference.  The role of management is to remove obstacles and enable one to make the road to success.  This means the best leaders are listeners – they listen to those they lead.

Good team members have a positive influence on one another and everyone they encounter.  They strive to eliminate any kind of negativity and cynicism interaction.  They strive to create harmony with each other, with the management and everyone that is in contact with the company.

We believe that the best teams are those that not only work with each  other but also interact with each other outside of the work environment.  Many of the company’s best ideas come when people are outside of the work place – interacting in a casual environment.

We are more than just a team.  We are a family.  We watch out for each other.  We encourage each other to learn.  We stand by each other when the chips are down and encourage each other make the change to better ourselves in all areas of life.  We work together, we play together.  We take pride in ourselves and in one another, build a team and a company that outshines our competitors.

Building Open and Honest Relationships with Communication

We value strong relationships in all areas with management, clients, business partners, team members and co-workers.

Strong, positive relationships that are open and honest are a big part of what will differentiate DAC from most other companies.  Strong relationships allow us to accomplish much more than we would be able to without it.

A key ingredient in strong relationships is to develop emotional connections.  It’s important to always act with integrity in your relationships to be compassionate, friendly, loyal and to make sure that you do the right thing and treat your relationships well.  The hardest thing to do is to build trust but if trust exists, you can accomplish so much more.

Communicate with good purpose using empowering and positive conversations with respect.

Pursue Growth and Learning

At DAC Enterprises, we think it is important for employees to grow both personally and professionally.

We believe that inside every employee is more potential than even the employee realizes.  Our goal is to help employees unlock that potential.  To be successful, this has to be a joint effort.  You have to want to challenge and stretch yourself in order to make it happen.

We have to keep stretching and inventing new ideas so we can stay on top of our game to strive to be number one out there.  What we are doing is bringing on board new people that have the hunger and the want to give their expertise and knowledge to share with others and have the capacity to adapt and figure out new things.  Helping the company grow and in the process, they will also be growing themselves.

Embrace and Drive Change

Part of being a growing company is that change is constant.

For some people the constant change can be somewhat unsettling at first. If you are not prepared to deal with constant change then you are probably not a good fit for the company.

We must all learn to not only not fear change, but to also embrace it with vigour and even more importantly, to encourage and drive it. We must always plan for and be prepared for constant change.

Change can and will come from all directions. It’s important that most of the changes in the company are driven from the bottom up – from people who are in touch with the day to day activities, the end users.

People at management level can set the value for change but if not embraced and executed from the ground it cannot evolve throughout the company.

Never accept or be too complacent with the status quo because historically companies that get into trouble are the ones that aren’t able to respond quickly enough and adapt to change.

We are ever evolving. We continue to stay ahead of our competition, we continually change and keep reinventing. Our competitors can copy our policies and procedures, our activities and our technology but they cannot copy our people, our culture and our work ethic. As long as embracing constant change is a part of our culture they will not be able to evolve as fast as we can.
